Restud North American Tour
For each of the last 32 years, Restud has invited job market candidates in the US to present their research in three European locations in May after the job market. For the first time this year, the journal is also hosting a tour of North American institutions, with the aim of showcasing excellent job market candidates from European institutions. The inaugural North America Tour is scheduled to take place during the week of 20th October, 2021. It will involve visits to UCSD, the University of Chicago, and UPenn. A committee of Restud board members have nominated Nicolas Bonneton (Toulouse), Milena Djourelova (UPF), Elisa Macchi (Zurich), and Lukasz Rachel (LSE) to take part. More details to follow as the date approaches.
The Review of Economic Studies May Meetings
The Review of Economic Studies May Meetings have been held annually in May since 1989. Every year, in line with the Review’s tradition of encouraging the work of young economists, some of the most promising graduating doctoral students in economics and finance in the world are selected to present their research to audiences in Europe. The meetings take place at the economics departments or institutes of three or four universities across Europe. Standard seminar presentations are given over two days to audiences invited by the local hosts and which include members of the journal’s editorial board.
